The Explorer's Suite  he
Explorer's suite is our newest addition to the collection of exotic rooms. A
travel writer
recently called it: " complete escapism in an enclave of fantasy in the heart of
Aspen". It is decorated with almost an Asian feel. Leopard, Persian Tibetan carpets
on the floor add to the safari feel coupled with crimson tide silk covering the walls. The
queen-size bed is French surrounded by hand carved teak wood paneling from Indonesia. Gold
leaf mirrors and colorful oil paintings from India further adorn the already exotic walls.
A Ralph Lauren floral yellow and leopard pattern makes a terrific statement as a canopy
over bed filled with yards and yards of silk and down covers.
A dark green Empress marble color follows the wall into the living room and bathroom. Unusual groupings of silver and green hanging lanterns from Goa throw fascinating patterns of light adding to the most interesting atmosphere. Indeed waking up in the suite facing Aspen Mountain and surrounded by such luxury is a treat. The combination of French, Indian and Asian decor is unusual.... beyond. The textures of luxury: marble, silver, silk, velvet, all add to what is one of the most inviting suites found anywhere.
